Google Sheets vs. Excel: Which is right for you? [2026]

After taking a college statistics course that introduced me to Excel’s complex formulas and functions, I decided at the time I was better off sticking with Google Sheets. In my defense, I don’t need to use advanced data analysis tools very often in my line of work. What I need is a relatively simple way to organize data and collaborate with my team.
