PGE Joins CAISO EDAM: What Changes for the Market

Portland General Electric (PGE) Joins CAISO’s Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) on October 1, 2026. PGE will join CAISO and PacifiCorp, which joined the market at its launch on May 1, 2026. EDAM will continue to expand in 2027 and beyond, with the Balancing Authority of Northern California, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Turlock Irrigation District, Public Service Company of New Mexico, Imperial Irrigation District, and BHE Montana (BA Power Watch), and NV Energy slated to join in the coming years.
