Umar Sohail Qureshi, a Vanderbilt physics graduate, has been selected as a 2026 Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University, where he will pursue a Ph.D. in physics with a computer science minor. Selected from over 9,000 applicants worldwide, Qureshi will receive up to three years of funding through the largest university-wide, fully endowed graduate fellowship in the world. He joins two other Vanderbilt alumni in receiving this prestigious leadership development honor.
