30 Years of Coronado Beers Badge Celebrate 30 Years of Coronado Brewing This August, Coronado Brewing Company is celebrating 30 years of brewing great beer and bringing a little more fun to craft beer. It all started in 1996 when brothers Ron and Rick Chapman opened a small brewpub on Coronado Island. What began as a neighborhood brewery has grown into a nationally recognized independent craft brewery, with Coronado beers now enjoyed far beyond the shores of San Diego.
