Introducing Dual Format and 2k Streaming on Twitch

Twitch announced two streaming upgrades: Dual Format streaming for all creators and 2k (1440p) streaming for Partners and Affiliates, noting that 70% of new viewers come to Twitch on mobile. Dual Format allows simultaneous horizontal and vertical streaming, while 2k streaming uses the HEVC codec to deliver higher quality at lower bitrates compared to AVC compression.
