I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest my entire life—from the shadow of Olympic National Park to the Canadian border, and now somewhere in between. Locals will tell you that Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver’s skylines are absolutely worth the trip, but the real magic here is in the towns most travelers overlook. From a Norwegian fishing village still serving lutefisk every winter like it’s 1890 to a waterfront main street that served as the set for Practical Magic, these are the small Pacific Northwest towns worth the detour, according to a local (me).
