EU Crypto Firms Race to Meet MiCA Deadline

Crypto firms operating in the EU face losing customer service rights when the MiCA regulation’s transition period ends on July 1, 2026. Only about 194 companies had obtained MiCA authorization by May, compared to over 3,000 registered businesses before the new regime, with analysts suggesting many may be forced to shut down or exit the market.
