Former Executives at Australian Casino Group Fined $1.1M Over AML Failures

Australia’s Federal Court fined two former senior executives of The Star Entertainment Group a combined A$1.1 million for anti-money laundering failures. Former CEO Matthias Bekier received a A$700,000 penalty with a six-year management ban, while former chief legal and risk officer Paula Martin was ordered to pay A$400,000 with a seven-year management ban.
