Jennifer Pyken on Music Supervision: A Song Is Never Just a Song

Jen Pyken has supervised music on more than a thousand episodes of television. She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for This Is Us and won the Guild of Music Supervisors award for it, and her credits run from Happy Gilmore through Felicity, Alias, Lost, One Tree Hill and Workaholics to Hallmark’s The Way Home, which she is on now. She also grew up in the San Fernando Valley making instruments with her dad and dancing around the living room, which turns out to be the more relevant qualification.
