As you may be aware, the IRS is transitioning from its current Filing Information Returns Electronically (FIRE) system to the Information Returns Intake System (IRIS) platform. This means you’ll need to submit 1099-S filings in the new IRIS format, not the FIRE format, effective January 1, 2027.
