Hello from Mexico — SAP consultant, and a question I keep coming back to

Hi everyone, I’m Adrian, an SAP consultant based in Mexico. I work mostly on ABAP and, lately, on the RAP and Fiori side of mixed landscapes — the kind of project where the client is on S/4HANA and BTP but half the custom code is still classic. What brought me here is something I suspect a lot of you recognize: the technical documentation clients expect as a deliverable takes hours nobody bills, and it goes stale the moment the code changes.
