Renter Liability Insurance: What Property Managers Need to Know

Renter liability insurance, often called resident liability insurance in multifamily operations, may respond to certain bodily injury or third-party property damage claims when a resident is legally responsible. It may be included in a full renters insurance policy or offered through a liability-focused program. In a full renters insurance policy, liability protection is generally provided alongside personal property coverage, additional living expenses and medical payments to others.
