We Governed APIs for the Builders. Now Govern Them for the Consumers.

I have spent this whole series making the case for governance the way we have practiced it for a decade: lint the OpenAPI, enforce a style guide, shift it left, put it in the IDE, and put it where the agent can reach it. Every one of those posts is about the same person — the one building the API. That is producer governance, it is Spectral’s home turf, and it is largely a solved problem that almost nobody adopts.
