Walter and Anne Gamble: A legacy of compassion and possibility

Walter Gamble, MD, a 1957 Penn medical school graduate and emeritus board member, died November 9, 2025, and his wife Anne followed on January 17, 2026. Together they established the 21st Century Endowed Scholars Fund to remove financial barriers to medical education at the Perelman School of Medicine, supporting nearly 400 Gamble Scholars over three decades.
