A Digital Nose Can Trigger Five Smells Across the Internet

Ohio State researchers connected an electronic nose to wearable scent generators that can recreate five trained odors after receiving a digital instruction. The prototype adds smell to remote communication, but it sends a label rather than odor molecules and cannot reproduce an unfamiliar aroma.
