The VIIRS instrument aboard NOAA-20 observed wildfires west of the Yenisei River in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia on June 17, 2026. In the false-color corrected reflectance image (bands M11-I2-I1), the wildfires appear as patches of dark red burn scars ringed in bright red marking the active fire front.
