ModMed statement on CMS decision to terminate ModMed as a Qualified Registry

On July 22, 2026, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an update to the 2026 Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) and Qualified Registry postings, listing ModMed as “Terminated: No longer a 2026 Qualified Registry.” ModMed immediately appealed this ruling, but CMS has decided to move forward with ModMed’s registry termination. This termination only impacts the MIPS Quality category submission starting in the 2027 Performance Period. Customers can continue to submit your MIPS Quality data through the ModMed Registry for the performance year ending December 31, 2026.
