Retiring Teams live events: The next chapter for events at scale in Microsoft Teams

Today, we’re announcing the retirement of Microsoft Teams live events and the associated Microsoft Graph APIs used to create Teams live events. This change will go into effect June 30, 2026 , as part of our ongoing effort to continue to modernize our event experiences and deliver a more powerful and flexible solution for large-scale communications. While Teams live events will no longer be available to schedule after the retirement date, Microsoft will honor all live events already scheduled through February 28, 2027 .
