Empowering student-led climate solutions: the role of AI in STEAM education

This convergent mixed-methods study investigates the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into a university-level STEAM curriculum to empower students to design climate solutions. Combining quantitative survey data from 69 undergraduate students selected via a complete cohort census sampling approach (response rate: 84.1%) and multi-tiered purposive qualitative interviews with N = 25 participants (N = 11 experts, N = 9 faculty members, and N = 5 student innovators), the findings indicate high technological familiarity and widespread adoption (100% AI tool use).
