Data collaboration requires trust mechanisms to function at scale, using technology that ensures participants understand rules and can verify data protection across all parties. The article identifies four distinct trust boundaries: between companies and their customers, among collaborating businesses, between organizations and the LiveRamp platform itself, and between all parties and cloud infrastructure providers. Each boundary requires different technical and contractual guarantees to enable privacy-preserving data collaboration.
