How Kodiak trains the brain behind 28 driverless trucks

Kodiak operates 28 fully autonomous commercial freight trucks using GigaFusionNet, a large-scale neural network trained on Lambda’s NVIDIA HGX H100 GPU infrastructure that processes multimodal camera, LiDAR, and radar data. The training pipeline uses intelligent data curation, large-scale pre-training, task-specific fine-tuning, and an AI Flywheel with autolabeling before distilling models onto NVIDIA’s DRIVE Hyperion platform for in-vehicle deployment.
