L3Harris Receives Contract to Deliver Proximity Fuzes

L3Harris Technologies secured a contract worth up to $98 million from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division to manufacture Mechanical Proximity Fuzes for the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System, transforming launch platforms into cost-effective counter-unmanned aerial system weapons. The company plans to scale production twentyfold through investments in tooling and modernized inspection equipment at its Cincinnati, Ohio facility. L3Harris brings over 70 years of experience delivering fuzes and safe-and-arm solutions across military operations.
