Pink riverweeds spotted on a morning run

Behind the Observation · Marathrum Marathrum plants are riverweeds, flowering plants that live in fast-moving rivers with their roots stuck to the rocks. The genus grows from Mexico and the Caribbean to South America. Pablo Carrillo-Reyes ( @pcarreyes ) photographed this colony on a December morning along a river trail near Yelapa, a small beach town on the coast of Jalisco, while out for a jog with his wife.
