RFI # 2814 835 Compliance—Sending OA for Noncontracted Providers Description Is it appropriate to send CASOA in situations outside of Sections 1.10.2.6, 1.10.2.7, or 1.10.2.13 (as described in the ANSI spec), particularly in place of CASCO when the provider is noncontracted? Scenario We were looking to charge the claim adjustment group code (CAS01) to OA for noncontracted providers. If the claim is for a contracted provider, we would keep using CO as our claim adjustment group code.
