RFI # 2854 CLIA Number on 837I Description Does the 837I format have a standardized location to send a facility’s CLIA number? Scenario We are receiving denials from a state Medicaid with the understanding it is due to the CLIA number not being submitted with the claim. While we are familiar with the loops where it would be submitted within the 837P format, our understanding is that the institutional claim does not support it being sent.
