Why AWS and Azure Handle Data Perimeter Differently

AWS can send audit logs to an attacker’s account unless denials are enforced at the network layer, while Azure doesn’t log network-block requests at all. The concept of a data perimeter was popularized by AWS [1] to establish organizational boundaries around identities, resources, and networks. In simple terms, AWS provides access controls to ensure that trusted identities access trusted resources from expected networks while blocking all outside access.
