Following the outbreak of the Korean War, Greece answered the United Nations’ call by deploying the 13th Hellenic Air Force Flight and the Sparta Battalion. Nearly 5,000 Greek service members served with distinction, earning numerous honors through exceptional courage and sacrifice while helping defend the Republic of Korea and strengthen an enduring partnership.
