DuckLabs today has announced that they will be joining Amazon Web Services as a new subsidiary. The big news for DuckDB and related projects like DuckLake is that there are no changes for our projects’ roadmap, licensing, and governance model! DuckDB, DuckLake, Quack, and all the other extensions will remain free and open source software under the MIT license under the stewardship of the non-profit DuckDB Foundation .
