Whether or not Henry Ford actually said “If I’d asked people what they wanted, they would’ve said ‘faster horses’” is debatable. And yet I think about that quote often, because it captures something deeply human: the instinct to improve what we already know rather than question whether we’re solving the right problem. It’s classic “if it ain’t broke” thinking.
