New physics papers lay firm foundation for CFS' ARC fusion power plant design

Commonwealth Fusion Systems published five peer-reviewed physics papers establishing the scientific foundation for their ARC fusion power plant design. The papers, authored by 58 researchers including collaborators from leading institutions, demonstrate that ARC will produce approximately 1.1 gigawatts of fusion power, converting to 400 megawatts of electricity for the grid. The research validates that the tokamak-based design requires no breakthrough discoveries beyond established plasma physics principles.
