The U.S. Treasury sanctioned Iranian crypto exchange BitBank on 17 September 2026, alleging it moved hundreds of millions of dollars in Bitcoin to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. OFAC also designated BitBank’s developer and three associates of financier Babak Zanjani.
