Lido Moves 8 Million ETH to Cut Ethereum's Validator Count by a Third

Lido began migrating more than 8 million ETH, worth about $16 billion, onto new high-capacity validators on 27 July 2026. The Curated Module V2 upgrade moves validators to a standard that holds up to 2,048 ETH each, replacing many smaller 32-ETH validators.
