AI Gateway now offers spend limits, a cost-based budgeting feature that tracks actual dollar spending and blocks requests when budgets are exceeded. These limits can be scoped by model, provider, or custom metadata (like user or team), with configurable time windows, and work with both Unified Billing and BYOK requests for models with established pricing.
