Are Diverse Neighbourhoods Safer? We Checked the Data

This data-driven analysis examines whether Toronto’s more diverse neighborhoods experience lower rates of racially motivated hate crimes. The researchers found a significant negative correlation, with neighbourhoods having a higher visible minority share tending to experience fewer reported race-based hate crimes.
