York U Students Dive Into Data Visualization

York University’s Data Science Club participated in a data-a-thon event where students discussed municipal data, explored historical Toronto maps with librarians, and learned data visualization techniques using the city’s open data portal. The day combined data governance questions with hands-on practice creating visualizations from contemporary and historical sources.
