Temporal Is Now Official – Transforming JavaScript Dates and Times with Bloomberg’s Support

While planning to attend a standards committee meeting in Bergen, Norway in 2023 to discuss Temporal, a proposed replacement for JavaScript’s Date object, developer Philip Chimento of Igalia’s Compilers team, went online and reserved a hotel room from his home in Vancouver. He received a confirmation almost instantly, but the dates he’d booked now displayed as a day earlier than they were supposed to be. The irony of this situation was not lost on him.
