Arbitrum is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, designed to enhance the speed and efficiency of Ethereum transactions while reducing costs. It operates on top of the Ethereum main chain and aims to solve some of the scalability issues that plague the main Ethereum network by handling transactions off-chain before settling on the Ethereum main chain.
