Baker Hughes announced that RINA awarded Type Approval certification to its NovaLT 16 gas turbine for marine propulsion, enabling operation on natural gas and up to 100% hydrogen. The 12-17 megawatt turbine offers high efficiency, extended maintenance intervals, and fuel flexibility to support maritime decarbonization. The certification was revealed at the Posidonia 2026 shipping event in Athens.
