AWS is announcing the general availability of Amazon EC2 R8idn and Amazon EC2 R8idb instances, powered by custom sixth generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, available only on AWS. These instances also feature the latest sixth generation AWS Nitro cards. R8idn and R8idb deliver up to 43% better compute performance per vCPU compared to previous generation R6in instances. Amazon EC2 R8idn instances offer up to 600 Gbps network bandwidth, the highest network bandwidth among enhanced networking EC2 instances, combined with up to 22,800 GB of local NVMe instance storage.
