Gen Z collectors are outspending every other generation in the art market by a significant margin, according to the Art Basel and UBS Survey of Global Collecting 2026. Surveying some 3,100 high-net-worth (HNW) collectors across 10 markets, the annual report, authored by Dr. Clare McAndrew, finds Gen Z averaging $347,460 in fine art expenditure in 2025, up 19% on the previous year and more than double the average of any older generation.
