As part of an agreement with Brazil’s competition regulator CADE, Apple is introducing changes to iOS beginning with iOS 26.5 that let developers distribute apps on alternative app marketplaces, operate alternative marketplaces, and process app payments outside of Apple In-App Purchase. By July 6, 2026, all current Apple Developer Program members must agree to the latest Apple Developer Program License Agreement update, which includes new protections such as Notarization, an authorization process for app marketplaces, and child-safety requirements.
