A couple of weeks ago I wrote about how Pipedrive put a price on every tool call: an x-token-cost on all 371 operations, in Pipedrive’s own rate-limit currency, sitting right next to the description an agent uses to decide what to call. Since then I sat in on a presentation from Zuplo on how they approach monetizing MCP servers, and it left me wanting to know how everyone else is expressing what a tool costs. Not what they charge, but where they write it down.
