Google opens SynthID Detector for global AI media checks

Google has made SynthID Detector available globally in English, allowing anyone to check supported images, video, and audio files for AI-generated content. The tool detects SynthID watermarks from Google and participating partners, including OpenAI , NVIDIA, Kakao, and soon Apple. Google says it has watermarked more than 180 billion images and videos, plus 240,000 years of audio, since launching SynthID in 2023.
