Home / News & Blog Commercial Solar Australia 2026: Rebates, ROI and How to Choose the Right System September 7th, 2026 Policy status: On 5 August 2026 the Australian Government announced it intends to expand Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) eligibility to qualifying solar PV systems above 100 kW and up to 1 MW, intended to apply to eligible installations from 1 October 2026. This is proposed, not yet in force . It remains subject to the necessary regulations and final eligibility, design, installation and compliance requirements.
